This is an oil painting I did of the South Pole/Antarctica after my 12 months at McMurdo Base in 1969-1970. This was part of Operation Deep Freeze, which is a naval operation to give support to scientists and geologists who study various things at the South Pole. The Seabees built the structures that we lived and worked in.
